Meet The Team

Volunteers don’t get paid, not because they’re worthless, but because they’re priceless……

Meet our priceless Volunteers who give up their time to help others.

  • Meet Kirsty.

Kirsty is one of our new trustees.

Kirsty has been a member of Yorkshire Coast Families for several years now as a registered family herself. And over the course of the years has made some wonderful memories with her family as well as making new friends.

When the announcement of possible closure went live without new trustee board members a few months ago, Kirsty was one of the first to step in, in a bid to keep the Charity open.

Since then, Kirsty has assisted in the arrangements of our last two events and also attended the SEND market place to spread word of the amazing work that we do here at Yorkshire Coast Families.

We are very grateful to have her on board and look forward to working with her in the future too

  • Meet Louise Bulman

Louise is one of our new trustees.

Louise was already engaging with the charity by being a registered family for several years and attended our trips and events with her family. Making memories, friendships and everything in between.

When the announcement of possible closure went live without new trustee board members a few months ago, Louise put herself forward to join the board in a bid to keep the Charity open.

Since then, Louise has assisted in the arrangements of our latest events and is looking forward to much more planning in the future.

We are so grateful to be working with her and have her on our new board of trustees.

  • Meet Amanda Short Amanda is one of our new trustees. She was party of the charity before joining as a registered family and attended many of our events and trips with her own family. When the announcement of possible closure went live without new trustee board members a few months ago, Amanda stepped forward in a bid to keep the Charity open. Since then, Amanda has assisted in the arrangements of our last two events and also attended the SEND market place to spread word of the amazing work that we do here at Yorkshire Coast Families. Amanda also brings with her the "Unbirthday Parties" she started while working for former charity Closer Communities before it closed earlier this year. We will now be running these bi-monthly in a bid to promote inclusion for all disabled children as well as our usual day trips and events. We look forward to working with her.

  • Meet Louise - our chair trustee.

Louise has been a member of Yorkshire Coast Families for several years now as a registered family herself. And over the course of the years has made some wonderful memories with her family as well as making new friends.

When the announcement of possible closure went live without new trustee board members a few months ago, Louise was one of the new trustees to step in, in a bid to keep the Charity open.

Since then, Louise has put herself forward as chair and was voted in by the other board members.

She has a real passion to make sure Yorkshire Coast Families continues to thrive and has some big plans for the future of the Charity. Watch this space.

We are very grateful to have her on board and look forward to working with her in the future too.

  • Meet Sandra Wright Sandra is one of our new trustees. She is also our new Treasurer for the charity. Which is such an important role. We know she is going to do great work. As a registered member of the charity herself, Sandra knows just how much having access to a charity like ours has on families. It brings inclusion, opportunities to experience new things, visit new places, make friends and connections and no judgement. So when the announcement of possible closure went live without new trustee board members a few months ago, Sandra was one of the first to step in to keep the Charity open. Since then, Sandra has assisted in the arrangements of our last two events as well our next 2 upcoming summer events. We are very lucky to have Sandra on board with us and look forward to working alongside her in the future running of the charity.
